DUBAI — In the last week of December Limitless began construction work on the Dh40.4 billion ($11 billion) Arabian Canal, according to Wam. The project is said to be the largest and most complex engineering work in the Middle East since 1859, when the Suez Canal was built in Egypt.
Limitless, the Dubai-based global real estate master developer, said construction work has begun on the $11bn Arabian Canal, reported Wam. The 150-metre wide and six-metre deep project will be finished in three years and will be able to accommodate vessels of up to 40 metres long.

02 January 2008 Dubai: Real estate developer Limitless Limitless , part of the Dubai World conglomerate, has started work on its ambitious 75-kilometre Arabian Canal project.
Limitless, an integrated real estate development company and a business unit of the Dubai World, has begun construction work on the Dh40.4 billion worth Arabian Canal in the last week of December 2007.
